I really enjoyed this! :) You captured Lydecker's voice so well, and I can imagine this scene perfectly. It's so like him to make Max think the worst, but in the end, in his own slightly twisted way, he's helping her. Awsome work! :)

I absolutely adore Lydecker. I think his character has so much to work with and I like playing with him. I always thought his relationship - and in general, his attitude - towards his kids was very interesting. Above all, though, I like to consider his soft spot for Max as a good thing (rather than what some might consider disturbing) and tap into that. It is what draws me to write him as understanding of Max and willing to help her.
