Hee! You are right, the world should not be denied a good zombie story.
Great pacing, nice banter. I have not read your other stories in this 'verse, in which I assume you have introduced the backstory of these characters; that being said, it did not detract from my enjoyment of this one at all.
My only nitpick is how they managed to get into the city so easily in the first place, if there was the military and the lockdown. (probably they got there *just* before or something, but that's not made clear in the story).
But! That's just a detail, thank you for a thrilling and very entertaining story.

i will admit, them getting into the city is a play on every resident evil game so far: there never seems to be ANY problem getting into the lockdown/contaminated zones, despite "military" lol! then again, most people don't play the games as obessessively as my boyfriend and i, so that i may have relied on that crossover point a bit much. thanks for pointing that out!
this 'verse is my baby, and yes, the backstory for all of them is primarily found in 'Just Another Reason to Hate the Government', and for Alec, in 'The Last Brick in the Wall'. I tried to write this stand-alone, i'm so glad it worked! we need more resident evil/dark angel crossovers, he he he.
