This is so fantastic I want to find you and hug you! Such a perfect missing scene that is so in character it's as though I watched it on screen.

In recent years I've found that I seem to appreciate character reflections a lot more than I used to. I like to learn about what a fan/writer makes of a certain situation or character and how they interpret things.

This piece hit the spot! I could imagine Normal going about his business, I could see him having the same thoughts you expressed for him, the uncertainty, the betrayal, regret and the - dare I say it - reluctant admiration.

I can also totally see Max having sent Alec to check on Normal. They may not have loved the guy but he was good to them, and a large portion of their lives was spent in his employ - and in his debt. Jobs can't be easy to come by in a broken world and Normal has looked the other way many times where they were concerned.

You write Mr. Ronald so well that it wasn't difficult to picture the entire scene as he moved about cleaning up the mess left behind after the stand-off.

I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! It was really interesting challenge to try to figure out what's really going on in Normal's mind. I tried to portray him as being a little less acerbic in his own head, lol, but still keep the same edge he had on the show. I'm so happy that you liked how I wrote him!

I'm also very glad that you find it easy to picture Max sending Alec to check up on Normal. :) I think she'd want to make sure Normal was okay, and make sure he didn't have any hard feelings about Jam Pony being damaged by the fight. Who better to smooth things over than Alec?

It's funny, but while I was writing it, I realized, Golden Boy or not, Alec really is the only one who actually talked to Normal like a regular person. Max, OC, Sketchy and the others all tolerated him, but in the end, he was always just the evil boss they had to put up with. Alec never treated him that way.
