Wow. That was a beautiful story. Seriously beautiful. Simple, short, and completely sweet, but at no point silly.
I can totally see Alec giving away his adored jacket "just to make sure the kid got something". And I think you did a beautiful job of this triggering the spirit for Max and the irony is not lost; after so many years away, trying to escape and to fit, it is this group of people, her family, that show it to her. As it should be.
And yes, he's totally cute. Really nicely written. Thank you for sharing.

This is wonderful!!! I loved Alec's gesture, giving Dalton his leather jacket, and I loved how it changes Max's perception of him. The ending is great too. :D Amazing work as always!
