This was wonderful! :) I loved your descriptions, and the pacing of it. I also really enjoyed how you didn't delve too deeply into Max's mind, but you still conveyed so perfectly what she felt, using the others' observations of her.
I also loved how Logan just slipped from her life, unnoticed, while Alec's absence had such an impact on her. You did it in a way that felt very natural, not forced or contrived at all.
And this made me laugh, lol: "She really hoped it wasn’t a fight again. She’d woken up on the wrong side of her desk and wasn’t in the mood to dissuade others from doing the very thing she wanted to."
That is such a great line, lol. *grin*
