You indent! Don’t see that too often in fic, I wonder why.

“She was especially surprised by the numbers of Ordinary women who had shown up.”

She just would be surprised. Cause she’s a moron.

See, these are the characters I understand:

“They’re just so damn attractive,” she heard one woman gossiping to her friend, both staring at the photo of her brother Krit.
“And you have to wonder if genetically enhanced means everything’s enhanced,” the other suggested.

And you do! You do have to wonder!

“Zane snickered on stage – and Jondy spun on her heel to divert her glaze to him.
“Oh, now he’s done it,” Syl whispered and Max nodded. It was common knowledge that Jondy hated to do what people expected her to – her lover was no exception.
Jondy shrugged. “Okay,” and sat down with a shrug. Zane’s jaw dropped – obviously as shocked as Dalton that Jondy was letting this other woman win her mate.”

NICE!! Go Jondy!!

So I’m curious about this Ethan fellow… ;)

““I miss the Max who was pissed off all the time. Jondy, you’re a horrible influence,” Syl glowered.”

God, she’s the only one! Ugh.

“Casual smirk in place, Alec unbuttoned his jacket and pulled it off slowly, rolling his body in tune with the music – some old dance song about a sex bomb.”

Holy crap, I would be so poor by the end of that night.

“ “Three thousand five hundred,” she grumbled at Dalton. Max jumped up on top of her chair and glared directly at the woman, whose mouth was open to make another bid. “Lady, I swear to God if you don’t sit down and stop bidding on my man I’m gonna get pissed and you will be seriously sorry.””

HAHA! I like Max using her violent tendencies for a good cause.

“The ladies loved it. You don’t have to be jealous though, Maxie – I’m all yours.”
“Only because I saved your sorry ass from that creepy old lady.

So hilarious. Like she didn’t want him anyway.

Alec smiled, biting off half of his egg roll. “What about Jondy, eh? I bet your brother’s sleeping on the couch tonight,” he commented, and Max laughed.

SO true. He deserves it, too.

Also, “Don’t do it again?” Why is she such a moron? It isn’t natural!

Leave it to Alec to put up an auction, when all of them could just as well have stolen the money - and in fact did. Awesome.

Awesome idea and very much fun to read!

I enjoyed every last bit of the auction, particularly how Dalton moderated the event, Zane's getting sold off and Alec's fear of suffering the same fate.

Whereas I can see why Max wouldn't have the elderly woman win him, in her place, I would seriously have considered letting Alec stew in his own juices though. Might have served his enormous ego right. *evil grin*

Does it sound strange when I tell you that their Chinese meal in the end sounded just delicious and made my stomach rumble?
