You know, I myself try not to write Zack, because for me, he's quite difficult to write. And now I'm all envious because you did it so well! I mean, I skipped the summary and dived straight into the drabble (yeah, I'm weird like that :P) and even then, I can immediately see that it was Zack's POV.
What I admire about him is his strong sense of family. There's nothing he wouldn't do for one of his one. And you convey all of that into your fic.
Great job Twinchy! I hope to see more stuff from you :)

Zack's loyalty to his family and his will to sacrefice every last thing for them, really strung a chord with my heart. I'm delighted you thought I caught his characterization well in this drabble.

I actually saw the eppy a few days ago for the first time. I really felt for the guy, and I've grown to like him more beacuse all that he has sacrificed for the ones he love.
And this is my first Zack fic and however short, it will always stay special. Very interesting to read how you potrayed that scene. I liked it.

First, allow me to point out that you didn't need to thank me; I was glad to help!
Isn't it amazing how much can be fit into so few words? Drabbles can really pack a punch.
What I liked most about this little piece was that it describes Zack well. He was willing to do anything to save his family And regardless of the number of times he has sacrificed himself for Max (possibly for the others though we didn't know or see that on the show) he is always willing to do it all over again.
That's one helluva man.
And I must add that for someone who hadn't seen (much of) DA, this was a nice little insight into one of my favorite characters.

Actually, Zack was always my favourite character as well - and despite my not watching the show in general,
I kind of kept track of what became of him throughout the series' first season.
You're absolutely right, he's one hell of a man!
(And I'd much rather have him on my side than against me, to be honest) *biggrin*
