Oh wow. How did I miss this? *wonders*
I like the... indecisiveness, the uncertainty Max seems to be carrying. I may be reading into things, but it also seems like there are feelings there that neither Transgenic is quite willing (or is it able?) to admit to themselves, let alone to each other.
I also liked how Alec seemed to get it, understand and accept that Max couldn't or wouldn't cross that line and that he still tried to make her happy and help her do something for herself.
I just wish Max's character would get over whatever it is that ties her to Logan when the rift has so obviously (at least to me) become a chasm. It kind of throws me to think she sticks with him even when she doesn't feel that way for him any longer. *shakes head*
My fannish m/a lovin' heart can hope and pray that Alec sticks it out until Max is ready to see that he's the better choice.
And I've rambled long enough, I think! *laughs*
