Wow. You really conveyed the fear and uncertainty, in Alec and in Max. I like how she seemed to be aware even as she was unconscious and just unable to communicate. The tone of the story was frantic and on edge and I kept expecting something horrible to happen. (I'm glad it didn't!)
Above all, I think I liked Logan best. He did his best to help, made sure she was safe and backed away from the scene when all was over and done with a quiet dignity. Respect to you for allowing him to bow out gracefully.
