Their partying to raise the moral and everyone's mood seems to work quite well, and the choice of song fit perfectly IMHO. Lovely last line (even if borrowed from "SPN").

Even though I'll read it, and apparently occasionally write it, angst hurts my heart, so there was no way I'd end on a bad note. Nice, many different time of periods, enjoyed the little family of Alec and Max and the litte boy, (how cute!). The ending with a New Year party was great fun to read..
