Oh boy, that was steaming hot!
Here's not much of a shipper (or slasher for that matter) but you sold their mutual attraction hands down. I never realized how great the two of them fit together in this regard as well; you made it ring very true to their respective characters. Awesome!
I'm really glad Zack didn't accidentally mess up their yet tender bond but instead only apologized for not going easier on Alec in the first place. I agree that the older man's care for his lover's comfort, while somewhat surprizing, was such a sweet thing to do.
And your final scene with them seeking some privacy, held such promise and was truly heart-warming.

You can't know how much that means to me. I admit to being quite apprehensive upon (writing! and) posting this piece. I'd never done explicit slash before and I was worried about keeping both boys in character.
I know that Zack was a bit...softer than what we may be used to but I also think he could be that kind of guy - as indicated by the depth of feeling he showed for his siblings on the show. And because I didn't want him to be callous :P
I'm just really pleased that you enjoyed the story.

Author's Response: Well, I'm really happy that you liked it. That's the most important thing as far as I'm concerned, because it was for you specifically. The fact that other people enjoyed it is simply an added bonus I hadn't really expected (though I'm happy for it!)

Yeah, hubby brought home a bad cold and while his never progressed past the stuffies and achies, mine decided to swing throat and ear infection, too. But that's probably because my immune system isn't at its best. *sigh* But hey, could be worse, right? So must be thankful that it isn't :)

I have to say it: Slash isn't my genre, nor will it be for DA. I see Alec as a Casanova. However, putting that aside, this is a fine example of your quality as a writer.
It's descriptive without being flowery. It's clever without being obvious, all the things I like in your stories. Well done!
Author's Response: Yeah, slash isn't normally my thing, either (though I occasionally read it in the HP fandom) and I never expected to write it - for any reason! - but I was asked so nicely by someone I didn't want to say no to, andhere you have it.

Wow! Slash isn't really my thing but since it was Shay (and the story had Alec in it) I decided to give it a try. Smokin' hot!! is the only thing that comes to mind. Wow, that's a high compliment - I haven't had (m)any people read things they normally wouldn't just because it was by me :) *blushes* Thank you.
