I can't believe I didn't review this yet and I'm sorry it took you reminding me in chat to do so!
Like I told you before, I thought this piece was gut-wrenchingly sad. Alec's regret and his pain ar almost palpable and I can picture the flashes of memory and the feelings he must be experiencing just from the depth of emotion in your writing.
And, of course, he has a valid point about Max and Logan's relationship and their inability or unwillingness to speak of their feelings even if they cannot physically express them. To have something and not express it in some way is like a slap in the face to Alec who no longer has that luxury.
Very well written, hon, and beautiful in it's sadness.

Thank you. I was a bit worried that the emotion wouldn't come across the way I wanted it to, but I am glad to find out that you as well as other who've read the story think it was dead on. I just remember wanting to get Alec's pain across, more so then what they did in that one episode, which I think they could have done more with in later episodes if they had been able.
~Nods~ Yep, that's excatly what it is, in my opinion. I believe that's why Alec said and did a lot of the things he did when it came to Max and Logan, because he was jealous they still had each other, while he'd lost Rachel, yet they refused time and time again to admit what was there between them.

His musings are actually pretty true. I see why he would lack understanding for Max and Logan's hesitation in the face of what he lost back then and now again - this time forever.
Author's Response: ~ Nods head ~ Yeah, that's what I was going for because everything after that for Alec towards Max and Logan made better sense, to me, that it would be because of his lose of Rachel, not because he was secertly in love with Max. Glad you liked Alec's musings and the story.

Loved that sentence! It discribes Alec pretty well, I think.
Author's Response: You had tears? Well, part of me is sorry for that, the other is glad I got the right emotion acrossed. Thank you. I thought so too about the line when it came to me. My Alec muse was totally kicking when I wrote this, lol, which I was very glad for!
