I feel terrible for them! :( Great ficlet. I thought you showed what Max was feeling in a sharp, pointed way that went straight to the bottom of her emotions. Very nice!

Max always seems to blame herself when things go wrong, and I couldn't help thinking that, in a situation like that, she'd see their deaths as her fault too.

Wow... that is kinda powerful.

Interesting interpretation of the prompt - you totally went somewhere else! Nicely done though. Hope to see more of your work here...

It's funny, but most of my DA fics tend to wind up on the lighthearted side of things, lol.  I don't plan it that way, and I actually do have quite a few angst-filled DA ideas, but those seem to be the ideas that wind up on the back-burner instead of being posted.  The bunny for this drabble came out of nowhere though, and it was nice to post something on the more serious side.

Aw, bittersweet little piece. The story screams sadness and loss but there's that little bit of comfort there that makes me wanna cry...
