Thanks for responding to my review...and allow me to answer your questions?
I rated the fic a 5 or 6 - I think - and not because the writing was bad or the story was yoo hopeless! I enjoyed the story, your writing was more than fine :P and you made me want to cry. I think those are all good things.
I can't really explain why I rated it the number I did. But personally, I prefer a rated review and not just words or stars alone. And my choice of 'middle of the road' seemed like a good choice - I suppose I see the rating system as bad to good and 5 of 6 being fair/very decent. I didn't in any way intend to imply that it was bad. I'm sorry you felt that way!
I hope to get back into reading a bit more - I've been AWOL from DA reading for a while now (damn health!). If anything, this was a nice piece to return to!

Oh no, don't worry, I'm not taking any offence here! ;) Definitely taking it as constructive criticism and just looking for ways to improve it. Expanding on the criticisms helps a lot, so thanks for responding.

Anyways, serious question--Was it terrible writing, or just the fact that it was so damn hopeless that garnered that score? Or a combination of both?
I also reformatted it and re-edited it, so I think it's improved a bit.
