This was very good, but heartwrenching. I can just see him getting sucked in to caring little by little. Telling himself that he didn't. And trying to fool himself into thinking there was something else wrong for why he was feeling off.
Only one negative. Spell check wouldn't have picked it up because it's a word too, but you used bowel instead of bowl on the third day, and there's a big difference between the two! LOL.

Aww I got misty eyed. I think I remember the MASH ep, or at least dialogue from it. If he'd had more time, he might have even let the fur ball follow him home. It would have been safe too. :P Reinforces their training, which sucks. Emotions and attachments are a liability. I think you did a wonderful job. Thank you for sharing.

That was great, absolutely fantastic. I really adored this one. It was sweet, but not too sweet. I’m erroneously content with how it ended. Alec ‘did’ though seem right in character for this, not too soft. OC ‘catching’ him was slightly disappointing because you ‘did’ truly expect it to be Max catching him. Yet it seemed right. I don’t really know what else to say… I’m really stinking at ‘reviewing’ here… it’s turning into psychobabble. Anyway, it was great, just thought you should know.
