I liked your take on the inner workings of Max's mind - and she calls Alec egotistical. The fact that it was all a dream and she lost him in the end, so very sad and also unexpected. I usually don't enjoy non-happy endings when it comes to Max/Alec, but you wrote it so well and gave us so much wonderful interaction between the two of them before the end, that I found myself enjoying the story despite the tragic ending.
