This is a really nice little fic. I like the comparisons and I like Max and Alec's interaction here. The study and Deck and his wife seems just like something that would appeal Alec's mind as a distraction.

The conversation with Logan is also great. Felt banter-y, more old Max & Logan. 

The transgenics looking at the cure as a puzzle to be solved makes sense. 

And I like the razor references, very down to earth.
