I like the introspection in this. I've always suspected that Max realized she was allowed to escape though. I think she's always blamed Alec for not just losing her chance at a cure but also for infecting Logan the first time. You got in his head really well.

I loved this story. It's very well written. I liked you explained the reason Alec seems so detached from the rest, which is something I've noticed. We never really saw him hanging out with his "friends" other than Crash or JamPony, so I always wondered if he was ever as close to them as Max was...

Anyway, random thoughts I had while reading your story.
