Love love love this one, even more than the last chapter, if possible. Nice to see Max trying so hard to fit in, being girly =). So many wonderful lines in this one, and love Logan being all sexy!!

What a warm, fluffy scene, just the right thing for a grey winter day.
Figures that any constellation requiring acquired social skills would make Max insecure and even more so if it’s an event with extra high expectations and with the added dimension of wanting to do this for Logan.
"Original Cindy said that your aunt will know if it’s the right dress and right shoes; how am I supposed to know if it is?"
The perfect role for Cindy, teaching Max all these girly things. (And now I’m thinking about how a Cindy - Margo encounter would work out…)
"Checking the label." His voice was teasing, affectionate. "Mmmm..."
Love this, funny (as if she was a bottle of wine or such) and suggestively ambivalent (or at least in my mind:-p) and a nice reminiscence to Logan checking her barcode in the Pilot.
Of course now I wonder how Max got the dress, the conventional or the more mission-like way like the first time…:-)

Like I said with the prompt-line (and your ‘Logan brooding’-label) I somehow expected something gloomy so this was such a nicely sweet surprise:-)
So like Logan to analyze the how and why even in such a situation, made me laugh.
"Wildly different backgrounds but each with pain in their upbringing; vastly different interests and reasons, but each with a hidden identity, verging on super-hero status. One felled by a bullet and the other by insidious seizures, each super-hero had an Achilles heel that made them feel ashamed and less than perfect that the other saw past, easily."
I really like this quintessence-style summary of their characters and relationship with all the differences and similarities, the weaknesses vs. superhero-status (maybe my favourite part), their willingness to accept the other’s issue while obsessing with the own. Good on its own (especially since it sounds like an introduction to a longer story) but certainly better with seeing that they finally got past only thinking:-)

AWWWW!
Loved this so much! Starting off so dark and moody, and then sweet and fluffy... so perfect!
