Really liked this! I especially enjoyed how you brought the more animal side to the fore front. Something seriously lacking in canon. Tight plotting, good OCs, a Max that wasn't whiney (sorry, sometimes she is) . . . Thanks for the great read.

Great story, V. Usually the portrayal of Max and Alec in a comfortable relationship makes me bored and sometimes feeling a bit ill from the sickly sweet way some authors write it, but you are just brilliant. Witty, original and all around fantastic. Thanks for sharing such a great read!

My god, I think I love you! This was awesome, with extra servings of way cool. I love the X5R series you write and especially the spot on characterisation of Max and Alec (in this piece). Wow. That was just... wow. Amazing stuff.
Poor Keegan, sure, but I felt more for her daughter and mate left behind - we saw Felix mourning, after all, and Chloe was rendered motherless. *sigh*
I love how abruptly things happened and how sharp the emotions and reactions seemed to feel as a result. Nice work hon!
(Ps. Tried to listen to Mudvayne but it's a little too hard for me, sorry :) The lyrics were cool, though.)

Awww, that's great. I always liked the stories where Alec and Max were paired by genetic compatibility but I think I like this one more because he chose her - in a way...

I haven't been reading your series but I wanted to read your challenge entry.
That was... intense. With a plot. And emotive. And angsty. And a lot of other things (I'm impressively eloquent tonight, huh? :P)
You gave me a feel for the characters and the unit that I could appreciate even outside of the boundaries of X5Revised. That's a gift. :)

I am absolutely loving this, Vilnolin. I started reading it thinking it would be an actioner and was pleasantly surprised by the humour and fantastic UST (which everyone knows is my favourite!).
As much as I am an anti-drug crusader, I think your portrayal of Keegan and Felix is fantastic. They are absolutely hilarious! And the catnip scene, I would loved to have seen on screen.
Great work and thanks so much for sharing such an awesome story.
