I love the way you describe things. Never overdone, but enough to paint a perfect picture.
I think the use of the leaf was particularly brilliant. Whimsical and yet not, as it persists in sticking with her. Just the way Alec did in life.

At first I thought it would be another plain anguished Max, but you expanded. I adored this. The leaf representing Alec's spirit, his presence. It was wonderful in a rather unexpected way.
