Author's Response: Feebo, t'was another 'challenge' piece. One of my friends who knew exactly how difficult I found it to write Logan as a good guy, challenged me to write him the way I truly believed he would be if he lost Max to Alec. To be as honest to his character as I could be, given my predilection to paint him as the bad guy (or just make fun of him in general.) Like you, I had trouble with the age difference at first, thought it was creepy and lecherous for him to be panting after her, and the unnecessary dangers she faced as his 'cat burglar' bugged the heck outta me. But I took up the challenge and this was my response. I couldn't help but make him at least a little bit selfish - using her abilities for himself, etc. - but I like to think I was fair.

Beautiful. Just beautiful. I am not a great fan of Logan, most times I just can't get past the age difference and the slight sleaziness, his constant attempts to put Max in danger.
But you made it work, really work. I felt sorry for him in the end, even while rejoicing that Max and Alec had what I wanted for them.

Thanks for your kind words. It makes me happy to know that I achieved what I set out to do: make people feel sorry for Logan.
