Can't remember if I ever reviewed this at NWP.  Loved this.  Very plausible storyline.  Wanted to crawl under a table with Max when Alec showed up at such a bad time.

Of course the two of them would get everything tossed up like that - even when it's a happy ending there's drama.  I liked your portrayal of Alec as still protective of Max even though he thought she'd chosen to leave him - so hopelessly and forever in love with her.
