Gotta love Mole's humor here. This was an action packed chapter and had great pace to it! Your portrayal of 494 as a dangerous ubersoldier is made convincing here. Luckily Max had anticipated 494 taking the hard way or she may have needed more help!
Liked All Action Alec, cold calculating but unwilling to kill his "family" thus proving that lovable Alec really lurked within 494 all along.
My favorite part HAS to be Max being caught checking out Alec's ass!!!!! Too funny!

So many funny lines in this - OC calling Alec "one tough oreo"- (perfect biscuit description for Alec by the way!) and Mole's exchange with Max.
Also liked"It's like beating my head against a cotton wall. No matter how long I do it, I don't make an impression" - Great stuff!!!
Can't wait to see Max's make the unflappable Alec mad .... let alone 494!

Nice chapter, well constructed story. I like how you still portray Max as still being slightly reluctant to fully expose her feelings for Alec, though the fact she is speaking to Logan may explain this.
The idea of Alec using the defense mechanism that had served him so well at Manticore is clever. Where Max has had time to learn to adjust, Alec for all his street smarts, is still learning and has to now cope with the impending conflict between transgenic and Normals.
Story continues to rock !!!

You have given us exactly what we wanted here (I don't know about Max!!!!) this is a hot sensual and ruthlessly cold joining of these two characters. You really feel for Max as she finally lets her guard down and gives in to her feelings for Alec, and he responds to her vulnerability with such a cold calculating display.
Considerate of you to do the tamer version for younger readers or those wishing to avoid the gratuitous sex scenes! Me I'm sorry, I'm still imagining Alec's ass in those jeans.... your writing is inspiring!!!!!

Tortured Alec - such a compelling read!!!! The change from Alec to X5-494 was chilling, but the build up was well plotted and written. Something has to be going wrong when Alec sends the girl away and Max admits to "crying on the space needle" - liked that image.

I am loving this story, which exposes more of Alec's past than the show was given time to cover. This is my first review on this site and I have spent ages looking for your story again, as I did not review when I read it... but I am enjoying it too much not to!!!!!
Liked the idea that the X-5's behind Max were actually there for Alec - nice twist and makes sence as Mission in their world means so much and while Alec stayed at Manticore, Max baled.
