Gosh I really like this verse so far. Also, I really like the way you ended it with Logan. You didn't make him some awful person, completely oblivious to everything, you made him good and flawed and likeable. Which i like because I always liked his character, even if I didn't believe in the M/L pairing in season 2. Off to read more!

I've been so enjoying this series - have just read the whole thing at almost one sitting over Easter weekend. I love your characterisation of Alec and Mole and their interaction with each other and Stuff.
I'd love to read Ascendant, however I'm having a problem with gumboot Mafia (have been for awhile, actually), in that I can log in and see summaries for an author's stories, but not get to the page for the individual story. Is there anywhere else I can read a copy of that?

Excellent. I love the character of Stuff, and the interaction b/w her and Alec is great. Your portrayal of Max is so classic - and she calls Alec self-centered. You've created a rich universe in this series full of wonderful characters and a intricately detailed plot.

Oh, I love that Ben is getting a second chance...that Alec is protecting him and trying to give him the space and environment that he needs to prove himself a "good soldier" again...a chance at redemption. Also, it's pretty amusing that Alec is saving Ben from Max until he thinks that Ben is strong enough to be able to handle her. Really well-written, and very perceptive about Max's character! :D

This was a rather painful, yet poignant forray into Ben's mind. Phew. I love the way he's still less than sane/normal but in a different way. Not many have the heart to let him be that way in their return-of.Ben stories. I myself would be tempted to let him be 'healed' or reprogrammed completely. Very well done, I must say. I'm not really sure I like the Ben you write, but that is as it should be, and only goes to prove your mastery of characterisation. He's not eman to be liked, I suppose. He's so ambiguous. I loved this piece of work, and the way you seem to really explore his mind through telling what's basically a mission profile. Nice! And impressive.
