This is not crap, just off on a different path from your norm.  I find it weird too when I try to write out of my comfort zone...

That said, this was really moving.  You've expressed Alec wonderfully, and in a very valid way.  I can see him feeling this way.  So kudos!

Author's Response: lol, a very different path!  Thanks for the review, and the kudos!  :)

Crap? Why, because it's not sunshine and roses or action and adventure, snark and sarcasm, blood and gore?

Sometimes it's the simple things that are most real. It might not be a masterpiece of wordscraft, but it has heart. And its kind of exactly what I imagined the ' apologize for more than just her death" to mean.

And let's not forget that Alec wasn't exactly bred to acknowledge, let alone express his emotions. He didn't have to be a poet to tell Rachel goodbye.

Thanks for the gift!fic, doll :) When I got home from work, unpacked the groceries, did the laundry, cleaned up from dinner, prepared my stuff for work in the morning and finally sat down to breathe, it was a nice surprise to find. *hugs you* Thanks for thinking of me!!

And thank you for sharing. I haven't read much DA (or DA related) fic in a long time. You've inspired me... And I'll leave you with that :D Cheers!

Author's Response:
