Darn, you do know how to make your readers suffer... I love stories like this. I love it when the author gives me enough credit not to spell things out for me. I love having to use my imagination, to give this a background and a continuation. Wonderful 'verse.
That said, I would *love* to read what *you* had in mind. It just seems so thoroughly wonderful, complex, heartbreaking...
Thanks for sharing this. Really, really good.
Well, gee, make me blush :P
When I first started on the idea, it was really just a random bit of nothing that demanded to be put into words. I never really gave it a backstory in my mind - well, maybe a bit but not much.
I'm glad it was somewhat open to interpretation (aren't those fun?) and I've been really pleased with the feedback I've gotten. More than that, I'm just happy to be writing again, no matter how little and how far between.
Thanks for commenting, sweetie! It means a lot.

This is really excellent. Love the mystery and vagueness! I wouldn't be disappointed if you should decide to continue.
Author's Response: Hey breebree! I'm really glad you enjoyed this. Thanks for reading, hon! As for a continuation, if I ever change my mind, however unlikely, it'll be nice to know you'll look this way :)

I like that you aren't explaining too much of the backstory or anything because it works really, really well just as it is.
Author's Response: Thanks, Trinity Day! I'm glad you enjoyed it - thanks for reading and commenting!
